Check-in time is 4:00 PM Eastern.
On occasion we may be able to offer early check-in. Please inquire directly with our property management office beforehand.
So that our house can be made ready for the next guests, we ask that you please adhere to a check-out time of no later than 11:00 AM Eastern.
Not generally, as we pre-schedule our cleaning crew to arrival shortly after 11:00 AM on the day of your departure.

Yes. WiFi is on the house! We feature high-speed fiber optic internet delivered by Frontier with equal upload and download speeds. The network name and the password are conveniently posted in the Dining Room.
We have three smart TVs in the house, each connected to WiFi. You're welcome to log in to your favorite streaming services such as Netflix, Max, Amazon Prime, and more.
Window air conditioning units are placed in each bedroom and the Dining Room, keeping the house cool during the warmer months.
Yes. A Nest thermostat in the Dining Room controls an oil-fired boiler in the basement that distributes steam to cast iron radiators located throughout the house.
Our Master Bedroom features a king size bed. The Guest Bedroom is furnished with a queen size bed. The Nautical-Themed Bedroom has two twin beds. The Reading Room includes a twin daybed sofa with a pullout trundle.
Bath towels and wash cloths are provided. However, we don't provide beach towels.
Yes. An initial supply of shampoo, bath soap, and conditioner is provided in both the Master Bathroom and the Hall Bathroom.
Our Galley Kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, bakeware, dinnerware, glassware, drinkware, silverware, utensils, cutlery, kitchen appliances, essential spices, and much more. You will need to provide your own food and drinks.
Our Galley Kitchen includes a full-size refrigerator with bottom freezer.
Absolutely! We provide an array of selections, including K-Cup Pods for our Keurig brewer and ground coffee for use in our drip coffee maker. Assorted tea bags are also available.
Yes, we have a propane grill outside on the Patio.
Our property features ample parking. Several vehicles can be easily parked along the length of our driveway.
Parking at our house is included with your stay.
A washer and dryer are available in the Laundry Room for your own use. Additionally, detergent and other complimentary laundry supplies are also included.
Most rooms throughout the house include power strips with integrated USB ports.
Presently, we don't have bicycles available at the house for use by guests. However, Adventure Mystic located at 15 Holmes St. does rent bikes, helmets, and locks during the summer season. They're just a 7-minute bike ride away from the house. Their telephone number is +1 (860) 245-6086.
We do not have an EV charger onsite. However, there are several charging options available within just 3 miles of the house, including a Tesla Supercharger and an AmpUp Charging Station.
Children of all ages are welcome at Maxson House! Our Nautical-Themed Bedroom even features a cozy Children's Book Nook. And, there's a high chair with tray in the Dining Room available for the little ones.
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed.
Maxson House is a smoke-free environment. No smoking or vaping is allowed indoors. No open flames or burning embers are allowed either (e.g. candles, wood burning fireplace, incense, smudge sticks, etc.).
Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM, especially outdoors. Please be respectful of our next-door neighbors.
Trash is picked up every Monday and Thursday morning. Recycling is picked up on Thursday mornings only. Throughout your stay, please utilize the large bins in the rear of the house and roll them out to the curb at the end of the driveway the night prior, according to the collection schedule. Place the bins back in their respective spots after the trash and recycling has been collected.
There are only a few areas of the house where guests are not permitted. These include the basement, butler's pantry, attic, and garage.
No. We must insist that you do not hold any gatherings that could disturb our neighbors or be disruptive within our residential community.
Only registered guests are permitted to stay overnight.
No. The fireplace in the Galley Kitchen is not available for guest use. No open flames are permitted inside the house.
Maxson House is situated within the quaint seaside village of Mystic, Connecticut which was originally settled in 1654. In the grand scheme of things, we’re located fairly equidistant between Faneuil Hall in Boston (100 miles away) and Radio City Music Hall in New York City (130 miles away).
Technically, our address is 102 School St, Mystic, CT 06355. Yet, our driveway and front entrance are located just around the corner on West Mystic Avenue.

There are two gourmet markets and two large grocery stores nearby. In fact, if you peer out our back door, you'll see Mystic Market West mere steps away... right across Noank Road. If you'd like to peruse a much more extensive selection of goods, McQuade's Marketplace is just a short 8-minute drive away. Mystic Market East is also along the way if you choose to take the coastal route across the Mystic River Bascule Bridge over towards Big Y World Class Market.
