Life can certainly be looked upon as a dynamic journey. One that involves near constant change. And, while steadfastly retaining its maritime heritage and time-honored traditions, our quaint village has enthusiastically embraced the notion of sensible evolution. Since it was originally settled almost four centuries ago, Mystic has continued to flow as prosperously as the incoming tides.

If you’ve stayed with us before, you might do a double take the moment you turn onto West Mystic Avenue. The old mailbox, the one that had clearly weathered countless decades of salty air, summer sun, and nor’easter rain, has officially retired. In its place: a decorative mailbox in a distinctive, signature shade of blue. Consider it our humble love letter to the neighborhood, and a practical little welcome for you.

With the aim of celebrating its present look at this particular moment in time, we recently commissioned an original watercolor painting that depicts the spirit of Maxson House.

It has been said that if you can count your true friends on just one hand, then you're very lucky indeed! Now, we can lift a hand (or two) into the air and raise our new customized YETI flasks in a toast to our good friends at Authentic Landscape, Ltd.

We have a new framed watercolor print adorning the walls of our Master Bedroom. It was put in place on Thanksgiving Day 2024.
